Phone - programming keys (speed dial)

Yealink T42S phone

Access DSS Key Settings:
- Press the "Menu" button on your phone.
- Navigate to "Features" and then select "DSS Keys".
Select the Desired DSS Key:
- Choose the specific DSS key you wish to program and press the "Enter" or "OK" softkey.
Choose the Key Type:
- Scroll through the available "Type" options using the navigation arrows or the "Switch" softkey.
- For a Speed Dial: Select "Speed Dial" from the list.
- For a BLF (Busy Lamp Field/internal extensions only): Select "BLF" from the list.
Configure Specific Settings:
- For Speed Dial:
  - Select the desired line under "Account ID".
  - Enter a label (name) for the speed dial in the "Label" field using the keypad and softkeys.
  - Enter the desired phone number or extension in the "Value" field.
- For BLF:
  - Select the related account ID.
  - Enter a label in the "Label" field, contact name, etc.
  - Enter the phone number or extension you want in the "Value" field.
Save the Changes:
- Press the "Save" softkey to save the configuration.

Other Yealink phones:

Navigate to DSS keys: Using the arrow keys, navigate to "Features" and then select "DSS Keys".
Select a line key: Choose the specific DSS key (also known as a line key) you want to program and press "Enter". Note: The first line key is reserved and might not available for customization.
Choose the key type: Select the desired function from the "Type" field (e.g., Speed Dial, BLF, etc.) using the arrow keys or softkeys.
- BLF = Extensions
- Speed Dial = Non-district phone numbers.
Enter the label: Enter a name for the key in the "Label" field using the keypad.
Enter the value: Depending on the key type, enter the corresponding value (e.g., extension number, phone number) in the "Value" field.
Save the changes: Press the "Save" softkey to apply the changes.
